Alexandre Texier (born 13.9.1999) is a French ice hockey winger. He has been playing in the NHL since 2018 with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Early Career

Alexandre Texier played at junior level with Brüleurs de Loups. Texier played one season (2016-17) in French Ligue Magnus with Brülers de Loups. He played 52 games and made 29 (15+14) points and was awarded the Jean-Pierre Graff Trophy as the best first-year player. Alexandre Texier was drafted 45th overall by Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2017 NHL Draft. After the draft, Texier moved to KalPa of Finnish Liiga for the 2017-18 season. His first season with KalPa, Texier played 59 games and made 24 (14+10) points. On 23.5.2018, Texier signed three-year entry-level contract with the Blue Jackets. After the contract was made, Texier and the Blue Jackets made decision that Texier will spend second season with KalPa. In his second season with KalPa, Texier led the team with 41 (14+27) points in 55 games.

Columbus Blue Jackets

After his second season with KalPa, Texier moved to play with the Blue Jackets’ AHL affiliate, Cleveland Monsters. After seven games with the Monsters, the Blue Jackets recalled him. On 5.4.2019, Texier made his NHL debut against New York Rangers. Texier played total 10 games and made 4 (3+1) points in his first season with the Jackets. In his first full season (2019-20), Texier suffer some injuries and played only 36 regular season games and made 13 (6+7) points. He also played 10 postseason games with the Blue Jackets and made 4 (0+4) points.

International Play

Alexandre Texier and France U18 – team made history at 2017 U18 Division 1 World Championships. France won tournament and earned promotion to the elite division for the first time in history. Texier was named to tournament’s best forward. Texier was selected 2018 and 2019 IIHF World Championship with Team France.
