Kirby Dach (born 21.1.2001) is a Canadian ice hockey center. He has been playing in the NHL since 2019 and he is playing currently with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Early Career

Kirby Dach played one and half seasons (2015-17) with Fort Saskatchewan Rangers in Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL). Dach was drafted 2nd overall in 2016 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft by Saskatoon Blades and he finished season 2016-17 with the Blades. His first full season with the Blades was 2017-18 and he played 52 games with 46 (7+39) points. In season 2018-19, Dach scored 81 (30+51) points to Blades in 72 games. Kirby Dach was drafted 3rd overall in first round of the 2019 NHL Draft by Chicago Blackhawks.

Chicago Blackhawks

On 8.7.2019, Dach signed three-year entry-level contract with the Blackhawks. On 20.10.2019, Dach made his NHL debut against Washington Capitals. On 22.10.2019, he recorded his first NHL goal against Vegas Golden Knights. Dach played 73 games with the Blackhawks in his first NHL season and he made 29 (9+20) points.

International Play

Kirby Dach represented Team Canada in the U18 Hlinka Gretzky Cup – Team Canada won that tournament. Dach was loaned by the Blackhawks to Canada’s 2021 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships roster and he was named captain. Unfortunately, Dach was injured in Canada’s pre-tournament game against Russia (fracture in his wrist) and he missed the rest of tournament.
