Nick Suzuki (born 10.8.1999) is a Canadian ice hockey center. He has been playing in the NHL since 2019 and he is currently playing with the Montreal Canadiens.

Early Career

Nick Suzuki was drafted 13th overall, in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection by Owen Sound Attack. In his second season (2016-17) with Owen Sound Attack, Suzuki made 96 (45+51) points in 65 regular season games – he placed second in goals scored and fifth in points. Nick Suzuki was drafted 13th overall in first round of the 2017 NHL Draft by Vegas Golden Knights. Suzuki was invited to the Knights training camp before 2017-18 season, but he was cut and played season 2017-18 with Owen Sound Attack. in season 2017-18, Suzuki made 100 (42+58) points in 64 regular season games. After Owen Sound Attack was eliminated to the 2018 OHL playoffs, Suzuki played one playoff game in AHL with Chicago Wolves.

Before season 2018-19, Suzuki was traded to Montreal Canadiens. He continued to play in OHL with the Attack, but after 30 games, Suzuki was traded to Guelph Storm. Suzuki played 29 regular season games with the Storm and made 49 (12+37) points. Suzuki and the Storm won the J. Ross Robertson Trophy. Suzuki made 42 (16+26) points in 24 playoff games.

Montreal Canadiens

On 3.10.2019, Suzuki made his NHL debut with Montreal Canadiens against Carolina Hurricanes. In 2019-20 season, Suzuki played 81 games with the Canadiens and made 48 (17+31) points. After the season, Nick Suzuki was selected to the 2019-20 NHL All-Rookie Team.

International Play

Nick Suzuki played in 2019 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships – Team Canada was 6th.
